Renowned political analyst and University of Nairobi Don Herman Manyora have spilled the beans on a secret plan to bring the Baringo Senator Gideon Moi into the helm of the country’s topmost leadership.
The outspoken University Lecturer alleged that there were already plans to ensure that power is returned to the dynasties as originally intended by the country’s early leadership while speaking on the K24 TV Punchline show hosted by Ann Kiguta on Sunday 9 February.
Manyora stated that there would be ‘boardroom deal’ amongst affluent politician in the country as the scramble for power had already begun and may manifest itself in 2022 with the endresult being in 2027 where Gideon Moi would ascend into power.
“Power must be in one place, and I have said this, in 2022, everything will be a boardroom deal. People will distribute positions in some boardroom, and the game has already started,” Manyora stated.
Manyora referred back to the previous regimes where he earlier opined that Kenya’s top leadership was being held on a caretaker basis to ensure that a few select families had a grip of power always.
Manyora also recounted that the changes in the laws to bring about multi-partyism has thrown the game out of proportion, as the changes are simply put in place to ensure that power returned to those initially meant to hold it.
Manyora further intimated that come 2022, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is poised to come into power on a caretaker basis as he prepares the way for Gideon Moi to take over the role in 2027.
“Just like Kibaki was needed to occupy the space temporarily and keep it for Uhuru, Raila is meant to keep this space between 2022 and 2027 and keep it for Gideon. You wait and see,” Manyora elaborated.
Manyora also added that Raila was a stop-gap measure, a safer bet to ensure that those needed to be in power as earlier planned would.
“With Raila, you are killing two birds with one stone. You are getting a stop-gap person while at the same time you are paying the debt owed to Jaramogi and the Luo community. This debt is bigger than that owed to DP Ruto,” Manyora told the panelists.
