Governor Tolgos: Rift Valley BBI rally moved from Eldoret to Nakuru

Governor Tolgos.

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos has said the Rift Valley BBI public meeting which was slated for the 16th of February has been moved from Eldoret to Nakuru county. While speaking in Eldoret after chairing the BBI consultative meeting with the region’s leaders, Governor Tolgos did not give any reasons for the change of venues but it is believed there are fears violence could have erupted in Eldoret, leading to the relocation.

Despite DP William Ruto’s Tanga Tanga brigade declaring they have finally given up on opposing the BBI process and that they will join the regional conventions, President Uhuru Kenyatta has picked Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos to take charge of the Rift Valley chapter of the BBI convention.

Governor Tolgos, who is a strong ally of Senator Gideon Moi has hosted Raila Odinga twice in his county of Elgeyo Marakwet and is the only governor from the Rift Valley who has strongly voiced support or the BBI.
