DP William Ruto has said the government should respect court orders because the ruling Jubilee Party was built on the foundation of rule of law and principles. While speaking in Narok on Sunday, the DP wondered why government officers were disregarding the law.
”Public Officers MUST respect Court orders. Any Public officer who disobeyed Court orders will bear personal responsibility in the fullness of time. The beginning of Chaos and anarchy is when we start disobeying court orders. We cannot watch as Public Officers decide whether or NOT to obey court orders.
This comes after it emerged that the cracks in the ruling party have deepened and Ruto continues to be isolated by President Uhuru. The DP also gave his thoughts on the BBI, claiming it had been hijacked by the Opposition and turned to 2022 politics.
”We congratulate ODM for beginning to plan their 2022 campaigns. We saw how they have started campaigning in Kisii and that is okay,” he said.
”We note their line-up and that is their right to plan. However, do not use Public resources to advance what is an ODM agenda. We have pending bills, stalled projects and The Big 4 to think about.Do not pretend you are uniting Kenya. Yours is a campaign,” he added.
