Police have shot dead two suspected Al Shabaab terrorists on Tuesday 7 January morning who attacked and killed four students in Saretho area of Abakeile Location next to Dadaab Refugees Camp in Garissa County.
According to reports, the police immediately responded to the alert of the foiled Al Shabab attack and managed to kill two gunmen during the 2 am incident.
The malicious gang also destroyed communication system near the Kenya-Somalia border and the incidents have been confirmed by the Police Spokesperson Charles Owino.
“Two of the attackers have been killed. They had killed four people and were now trying to destroy a communication mast when they were engaged by officers, ” Charles Owino confirmed.
Police Spokesman further disclosed that more than ten gang were repulsed while on a mission to cause more havock in the region.
Kibet Bowen the regions police boss has confirmed that the officers recovered two AK 47 guns from the slain terrorist after the shootout.
