National Cohesion and Integration Commission Vice-chairperson Fatuma Tabwara is dead.
Tabwara reportedly collapsed and died while attending her nephew’s wedding in Kombani, Kwale County.
She was waiting to receive the bride and show her where the groom (her nephew) was waiting. According to Nominated MCA Hanifa Mwajirani, Tabwara was pronounced dead on arrival at Diani Beach Hospital.
Ms Tabwara took up the post in November after the new NCIC team led by Samuel Kobia was sworn in at the Supreme court in a ceremony overseen by Chief Justice David Maraga.
The new team was taking over from the previous group led by former chairman Francis Ole Kaparo.
She held a Masters in Education Planning and Administration from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelors Degree in Education from Kenyatta University.
