President Uhuru Heads to Gatundu Amid Rebellion from MP Moses Kuria

President Uhuru Kenyatta will be in Gatundu to open the new Gatundu Hospital which has been under construction by the Japan International Corporation Agency in conjunction with the national government.

However, Kenyans are keen to see how the region and local politics will play out given that one of the Gatundu MPs, Gatundu South to be specific, Moses Kuria has grown to be one of the vocal critics of President Uhuru Kenyatta. The MP has been accusing Uhuru’ government of neglecting the people of Mt Kenya as well as criticizing the handshake between Uhuru and Raila. Questions are now being raised on whether he will attend the president’s function as one of the local MPs

At one time, MP Kuria has dismissed the BBI report released by the President, terming it ‘fake’.In a tweet reply to lawyer Donald Kipkorir on Tuesday, Kuria said, “Replete with parliamentary system, executive prime minister and 12 regional premiers. The real BBI away from the Bonoko (fake) BBI charade that was released at Bomas last week.”
