Drama Ensued At Babu Owino’s Territory as Nyayo and Fedha Residents Protest Against Poor Roads in The Area

Angry Nyayo and Fedha residents engaged the police in a running battle after taking to streets to protest against the poor conditions of the roads in Babu Owino’s Embalasi East Constituency.

Transport along the Outering Road on Monday 2 December was partially disputed for the better part of the morning after the angry Embakasi residents blocked the road with stones.

The residents are believed to have taken to streets as a way of expressing their grievances as they burned tires to block the road from Fedha Junction to Nyayo Estate Gate B.

The protest, however, didn’t go for long since the police were very quick disperse crowd that were gradually turning violent.

The angry residents blamed the Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko for being slow to respond to their appeal for a better road.

The residents went ahead and planted banana stocks in the filled road after the heavy downpour witnessed in the city mocking the county chief.
