The vocal Embakasi East lawmaker Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino faced the wrath of angry netizens over his controversial tweet mocking the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
Taking to his official Twiter handle page, Babu posted that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) should have set aside National prayer for gays referring to Kipchumba Murkomen.
Babu’s post that caused a stir on Twitter reads, “BBI should set aside a national prayer day for gays like @kipmurkomen who look at fellow men as women. After the prayers, he should be given free dildo/vibrator and cork to block his anus in case of any emergency.”
According to earlier reports, Kipchumba Murkomen had caused a stir during the BBI launch at Bomas of Kenya where he was heckled at by the crowd who cut his speech short.
A section of Kenyans who fiercely faulted the outspoken lawmaker for posting such a statement online also questioned his integrity as a leader.
Some of the replies by Twitter users expressing their disappointments in Babu reads, “The finals of this year’s INSULTS competition (Kenya politician’s category), will be held in the city of KumaMoto, Japan, where we will be ably represented by our very own, u guessed it right folks:- Hon. Babu Owino!! Standing ovation for the honorable member!” Basillio replied.
“I thought derogatory words ,hate and abuse has no place in our society you need to man Babu real men don’t engage in such messages we need to check your man hood status,” Allan Njenga stated.
“This is the kind of language that sets us backward. We should be respectful to our rivals even when we don’t like them. It’s a shame come from a member of parliament.” Ochieng Ombiro claimed.
