Eventhough today’s event at Bomas of Kenya was not supposed to be a political one, a number of things point out organizers of the public BBI launch had intentions to not only sideline DP William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga brigade but also to humiliate them on a national platform. From the official programme that broke protocol, putting Raila Odinga to speak after the DP the later invite the president, to having Junet Mohamed an ODM MP be the official MC of the event.
Trouble started on Tuesday when Tanga Tanga MPs said they were not involved in drafting the program at Bomas of Kenya, saying it was only their Kieleweke counterparts who had been invited to the ceremony. These claims by Tanga Tanga would prove valid on Wednesday afternoon, when non of the leaders allied to DP Ruto, save for Aden Duale and Kipchumba Murkomen, were given a chance to address the gathering by virtue of their positions in Parliament.
When given a chance to speak, Kipchumba Murkomen tried to complain on the sidelining by organizers of the event only to draw a wrath of condemnation and heckling from the attendees. It had to take the intervention of Senator Yusuf Haji to calm down the audience and let him finish his address.
