President Uhuru Kenyatta last evening made an impromptu visit to the inland Naivasha dry port that is currently under construction. The reception he got while in the brief visit to Naivasha has affirmed the head of state still has the Kikuyu vote under his grip, something that people have been saying is not the case.
Before he left, workers at the dry port unanimously requested Mr President to personally deliver BBI report to them and if possible make the site his first BBI tour stopover.
“Muthamaki, tunakuomba utuletee BBI report. Ikiwezekana rally ya BBI ianze hapa. Sisi ni watu wako na tunakupenda sana,” they told Uhuru.
A section of Mt Kenya leadership have sponsored rebellion against President Uhuru Kenyatta to show that he has lost ground to his deputy William Ruto and it would be interesting to watch how things will turn out once the president hits the ground running.
