Yvonne Musila Munuve will be warming the benches at the unemployment corner after she got fired from Uwezo Fund as it’s board member.
Munuve’s new jobless status was announced in a gazetted notice published on October 25, by Public Service CS Margret Kobia.
” In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 5 (2) (d) of the Public Finance Management (Uwezo Fund) Regulations, 2014, as read together with Section 51 of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender revokes the appointment of Yvonne M. Musila Munuve as a member of the Uwezo Fund Oversight Board, with effect from the 24th October, 2019,” read the notice.
Details as to why she has been sent packing before her term materializes are still murky. Munuve was appointed to serve on the oversight board in July 24, 2017 by the then CS, Sicily Kariuki. She was expected to serve for a term of 3 years.
