The embattled Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu on Wednesday 16 October faced the wrath of Kiambu residents who stormed his Delta Hotel in Nairobi demanding his immediate resignation.
The angry crowd took to street matched to Governor Waititu’s Delta Hotel along University way in Nairobi town.
The crowd was armed with pig heads and placards with Waititu’s image, the angry mob kept chanting in unison demanding Waitititu’s immediate resignation.
One of the protestors identified as Hardson Nyaga spilled the beans stating that Kiambu residents are fed up with the governor Waititu’s administration and want him out with an immediate effect.
Part of Nyaga’s statement reads, “The blatant looting and monopolizing of public resources is simply unacceptable.”
As a symbol of a greedy boss, the protestors hurled pig heads at governor Waititu’s hotel’s kitchen.
Kiambu county boss is currently facing various corruption charges in court, which has seen him lose property in Thika, however, Waititu maintained he is innocent claiming someone was out to tarnish his name.
