Likoni recovery mission exercise has stalled for the 10th day after Government failed to deploy equipment required to aid a successful retrieval.
It’s alleged that equipment that had been procured on Sunday, as promised by the Government, was yet to be deployed on site to help in speeding the recovery mission. As a result of the lack, the Kenya navy are said to have docked at the Mbaraki Wharf at Likoni channel until further notice.
Details of zero efficiency of the Inter- Agency team tasked to retrieve the bodies of Mariam Kagenda and daughter who plunged into the ocean 10 days ago are fresh. Residents have bitterly faulted KFS’ management for the slow process and lack of sympathy for the bereaved.
Contrary to reports by Police Spokesman, Cyrus Oguna that the able team of divers had so far combed 14 locations in active search of the bodies, it has emerged that it’s only 4 locations of the 14 mapped, that have been covered.
