Five Tourists and a Guide Feared dead in Hell’s Gate National Park Ragging Floods

According to Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) tweet, a number of tourists lost their lives in Hell’s Gate flash floods tragedy located in Naivasha.

According to reports, six people feared dead in the Hell’s Gate Flood tragedy, the people affected were reported to have been swept away by the heavy floods which dominated the area.

The issue was discovered after finding an Asian origin Woman’s body at Suswa Town.

One of the survivors informed the Kenya Wildlife Service officers taking care of the park after escaping from the heavy floods in gorges.

An officer at Hell’s Gate National Park whose identity was not revealed said they received reports of flooding in the gorges from a survivor who they managed to rescue, however; six other people were still missing.

The authorities said the rains started from Mount Longonot and Kingdom at around 4:30 PM East African Time (EAT).

Nakuru County Police Commander Stephen Matu said they have managed to deploy a number of officers to the park to assist the rescue team in the search.
