K24’s prime time news anchor, Rose Gakuo had a confrontation with governors on Thursday where she lectured them on matters time management when dealing with members of the press.
Gakuo who was among a group of Journalists called to cover the governors’ presser, spoke on behalf of her colleagues who equally felt wasted for the poor time management.
According to the bold Gakuo, the media invitation indicated that the presser will kick off at exactly 12: 30 pm but the county bosses showed up 2 hours later, 2:30 pm. Bored journalists who had not even had lunch were forced to persevere the boredom and hunger.
”The problem is the media invitation which indicated that we should be here at 12:30. We have waited for more than two and a half hours, which is unfair on our side. We don’t mind being here at two, a moment’s notice is enough for us,” said a no-nonsense Gakuo.
The despondent governors lead by Hon Wycliffe Oparanya of Kakamega County were then forced to apologize for the inconvenience caused as they urged the journalists to bear with them.
