Alleged lazy County Executive Committee (CEC) of Homabay County in trouble as Awiti issues a strict warning

    Homabay County Governor Cyprian Awiti has resumed his office breathing fire to his County officials and is not ready to entertain laziness at work.

    Awiti returned to county offices with a stern warning against his alleged lazy County Executive committee (CEC) members.

    Speaking on Thursday as he presided over a swearing-in ceremony of seven members of the newly-created Homa Bay County Municipality Board, Awiti fired a warning at county ministers who he accused of sleeping on the job.

    The county boss has been away for 2 months after he fell ill on June 27.

    During the ceremony, Awiti appealed to the new board members to ensure proper management of the urban municipality in line with the Urban and Cities Act.

    Cyprian Awiti also said lazy county executive committee members (CECs) were putting his legacy at risk.

    “I have no room for lazy CEC members! You have to change your methods of service delivery from office to fieldwork so that your impact can be felt on the ground,” he said.

    The Board will play a major role in implementing the spatial plan that will ensure the infrastructural growth of the town.

    Mrs. Caren Otieno Odiyo

    Deputy Governor H.E Hamilton Orata, The County Secretary Isaiah Ogwe, CEC Members, Members of the County Assembly led by the Committee Chairman for Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development Hon. David Oloo was among the officials who were in attendance during the event.
