The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has announced that Kibra constituency by-election will be held on Monday 7th November 2019.

In a Gazette notice published on Monday, the Electoral body father directed all parties to submit the names of participants by 26th August 2019.

Boost in the seat as independent candidates also have until August 26th to submit their names and symbols.

The commission has also given public officers seven days to resign from their positions if they wish to contest the seat.

Reports indicate that Raila Odinga’s former advisor who lost the ODM party ticket could throw his hat in the ring.

Mr. Owalo recently crossed over to Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress.

The stakes are high for the seat which is in ODM’s Kibra stronghold.
