The Sex Scandals That Made Uhuru Deploy Itumbi and His Group From Statehouse to Ruto’s Office

If you have ever wondered why President Uhuru Kenyatta replaced former Statehouse Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu who was appointed envoy to UK with ex Citizen TV’s Kanze Dena instead of his ‘boys’ the likes of Itumbi? Wonder no more.

Details continue to emerge as to why Uhuru Kenyatta replaced the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) directors with the team led by Kanze who by the way is still struggling to learn the ropes, has committed many blunders and is often saved by Chief of Staff and Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit Nzioka Waita

Uhuru, through Waita, shocked the media fraternity when he discarded then PSCU team that included Munyori Buku (public communications), Eric Ng’eno (messaging), Dennis Itumbi (digital communications and diaspora), James Kinyua (branding and events) and Munira Mohammed. They are now operating from Deputy President William Ruto’s Harambee House Annex office.

Insiders intimate that some of the directors had become a pain in the rear for the head of state who kept receiving complaints that the guys were demanding sexual favours from fellow female employees and interns.

Some were said to have been soliciting for sex by dropping the name of the President to their targets that they would help them secure employment or lucrative contracts.

Uhuru, however, spared his personal assistant and nephew Jomo Gecaga who was also is said to have used Citizen TV’s Anne Kiguta to spearhead Jubilee’s agenda during the 2017 campaigns. The affair resulted into twins before Jomo dumped her for model and fashionista and businesswoman, Lola Hannigan.

Apart from Dennis Itumbi, who has been wooing chasing Citizen Presenter Jacque Maribe for years even when she showed an obvious liking for bad boys- all the others are married.

This is not the first time the randy men in Uhuru’s official home have been exposed. When Sonko was a Senator just before he became Governor- during the by-election in Malindi where Sonko accused Jomo Gecaga and then State House Comptroller, Lawrence Lenayapa of bungling Jubilee’s campaigns in Malindi by sleeping with ladies they picked from a club instead of campaigning for JAP candidate, Philip Charo.

Sonko stated that on a weekend Gecaga and Lenayapa had booked a posh hotel in Malindi where they hired ladies to service them instead of campaigning for Jubilee.

After the 2017 elections, Lenayapa was dropped as State House Comptroller and posted to Netherlands as Kenya’s envoy. He has now been replaced by former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua.

Last year Uhuru was embarrassed after a video emerged of a junior civil servant in his office demanding sexual favours from a woman who wanted to join a list of members of the public who would meet the Head of State.

Angeline Naliaka, who is one of the women living with disabilities in Bungoma County, claimed that one of the male public servants asked to sleep with her so that she could be allowed to receive the President during a visit to the county.

Uhuru had visited the county while attending the first graduation ceremony at Kibabii University.

The victim narrated that she declined the man’s demand but was surprised to find her name had been removed from the list of those allowed to receive the president.
