President Uhuru Ignores Ruto, Sends CS Fred Matiang’i to Represent Him at Mombasa Eid Baraza Hosted By Joho

    President Uhuru is fed up with Ruto’s constant bickering.Pictures going round on the internet of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Interior CS Fred Matiangi have tongues waggling.The flamboyant governor hosted top government officials in Mombasa at the county’s Treasury Square for the Eid Mubarak celebrations.In attendance were Cabinet Secretaries Fred Matiang’i and Najib Balala, as well as a number of high ranking state officials.With President Uhuru Kenyatta away, the Interior CS is technically in charge of government.

    Speaking during  Eid Baraza celebrations held at Mombasa’s Treasury Square, Joho told Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi and his Tourism counterpart Najib Balala, that President Kenyatta “needs to be praised for his good work.” Matiangi attended the event on behalf of President Kenyatta, who was to attend in person, but he is out of the country on an official visit.

    Interior CS and Joho vowed to work together to ensure Kenyans are well served by the government.


    The ODM Deputy Leader said  President Kenyatta is categorical on fighting graft and also supports inclusion of all Kenyans into his government wholeheartedly.

    “I want to invite the two CSs who are here today. I know they would want to steer off politics, but I just want them to praise the President. Your boss (President Kenyatta) is doing a good job, and we support him. We also together with Raila Odinga,” said Joho.

    Interior CS Fred Matiangi and Governor Hassan Joho.

    “We must talk to each other. We all need to feel part of the government, we should be taking matters inclusion and that is what President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga advocate for,” he added.

    He also took a swipe at Tanga Tanga for involving themselves in early campaigns instead of focusing on serving Kenyans and actualizing the pledges they had made in 2017.
