Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has called out DP Ruto’s bluff regarding his comments at the National Prayer Meeting held in Safari Park hotel yesterday. The Deputy President said he was thankful for the blessings God has accorded him by sitting at the high table with son of a president. He also vowed to continue making donations to churches despite criticisms from a number of quarters concerning the activity which has been mired in controversy.
Hamisi said DP Ruto has instead used his God given position to impoverish Kenyans by engaging in rampant looting of public resources. The millions of money he donates in churches are part of the money he has been stealing from public coffers, funds meant for providing vital services to Kenyans.
“I certainly agree with the DP, he got reasons to thank God for giving him an opportunity but he has the opportunity to impoverish his people and defraud them of their taxes,” the MP wrote on his official twitter handle.
The MP also took condemned the remarks, saying DP Ruto was out of line trying to insinuate that him and his boss, the president are not subjected to being held accountable by the public, something that may translate to anarchy.
‘“It is like there are two governments, one that wants to fight graft led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and another government that encourages looting led by the DP,” he added.
