The Kenyan Cabinet Of Thieves

Uhuru and Ruto./COURTESY

As the Cabinet sits today, maybe we should reach out and remind each one of them what corruption really because at this rate, they have no CLUE.

In essence, corruption is the use of power by government officials for illegitimate private gain.

An illegal act by an officeholder constitutes political corruption only if the act is directly related to their official duties, is done under colour of law or involves trading in influence.

Forms of corruption vary, but include bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, patronage, graft, and embezzlement. On this very day, even in your wildest of thoughts you, first as a Citizen of our beloved country, you cannot imagine any of the Cabinet Secretaries who is clean. Every docket has been tainted, has been raped and lots of funds just disappeared in the thin airs. This would prompt us to ask a question; how do we as a country combat corruption? Is the President ready to walk the talk and crack the whip even to his closest of friends?

In my own thoughts, punishments we impose for corruption play a central role in deterring future corruption. If potentially corrupt people know they will get off with a light sentence, they are more likely to take the chance of committing corruption than if they know they will be sent to jail for a long time. we have seen this happening before our very own eyes, some powerful individuals get caught up in corruption drama they go missing for a while and return they are AWARDED! instead of them rotting somewhere in Kamiti!

To same extent out courts are independent but they get arm twisted. The courts MUST fine someone up to three times the value of the gratification that was involved in the corruption. Imagine someone getting caught up in millions and millions only to be slapped with afew thousands fine. Mark you such individuals use their money to facilitate criminal enterprise such as drug trafficking, money laundering, and human trafficking; just last week or so, a judge a politicians kin where caught up in child trafficking and organ harvesting saga that earns them millions and millions.

Allow me end my rant and just see how Kenyans are PISSED!
