After months of intense investigations and indictment of US President Donald Trump’s former allies,Special Counsel Robert Mueller handed over the report of his investigations to the US Congress Sunday afternoon.According to summary of the report, sent to lawmakers,Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III did not find that Donald Trump’s campaign or any of his associates conspired with Russia in its efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election,
Part of the four page summary by Attorney General of the US William P. Barr reads,“The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”
However, the report does not exonerate Trump on Obstruction of Justice does not draw a definitive answer on whether President Trump tried to block the high profile investigation.
“The Special Counsel . . . did not draw a conclusion — one way or the other — as to whether the examined conduct constituted obstruction,” Barr’s letter to lawmakers states.
“The Special Counsel states that ‘while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him’,” the letter adds.
The report also does not recommend any further indictments and it reads,” nor did the special counsel obtain any sealed indictments that have yet to be made public”.
