How Mwingi MP Assaulted Media Wife Over 16 Year Old Concubine He Brought Home

NTV news anchor Doreen Majala had to painfully relive the horrific night when she was assaulted by her estranged hubby- Mwingi Central Member of Parliament Gideon Mulyungi.

However the legislator who appeared before Magistrate Alex Ithuku at the Ngong’ Law Courts facing accusations of assault did not take any plea.

His estranged wife Doreen Majala was represented by Lawyer Cliff Ombetsa while Susan Wanja represented Fida.

The MP is represented by his colleague Dan Maanzo of Makueni.

Majala confirmed the accusations raised against the accused before Magistrate Alex Ithuku, that Mulyungi assaulted her on the night of Monday 26th February 2018 at their Karen home.

“The assault began after the MP brought in a 16-year-old lady and requested she stays in our house since he was paying for her education,” she said.

But, she realized something was fishy when the girl disrespected her on several occasions.

The TV girl said on the day she was assaulted, she had confronted the girl in the kitchen for dressing indecently before her husband descended on her.

“My husband hit me on the face with his phone and continued punching me until I screamed for help,” she added.

That same night, she revealed the happenings through a chilling social media confession, that her life was in danger and the confrontation even left her with serious head injuries.

“Writing this with a lot of fear. My life is in danger. This evening at about 9.50pm my husband Mwingi Central Member of Parliament, Gideon Mulyungi assaulted me at our Karen Home and I sustained head injuries at the back of my ear resulting to my left ear going numb,” she tweeted. The beauty even went into hiding at undisclosed location as she waited for the situation to cool off. “I am somewhere in Kileleshwa now for I don’t know of my safety. Being locked up in the bedroom to be beaten is horrifying,” she said.

The MP was arrested seven days later and released after spending two nights in custody.

Doreen who was married for four years before the incident confirmed her official split during a Q and A session with her fans on Instagram. She has now gifted herself with a plash four bedroom home in Runda as she is moving onward and upwards.

The MP faces losing his parliamentary seat or face a jail term of two years if found guilty.

The second hearing of the case will be on 22nd April 2019.

Before the incident, the girl accused of the affair was reportedly sharing photos hanging out in the MP’s compound and also posing next to his cars.

From her photos, it’s clear to see that the lady doesn’t really are about the comments she is receiving from her followers. In fact, she tells off haters who judge her fancy lifestyle.

Despite having a romantic relationship, Doreen Gatwiri knew very little details about her husband. This is because he was very secretive and she never bothered to ask anything.

    She once confessed that she came to learn about her husband’s first wife’s death after coming across a funeral programme on the floor while looking for bags in their guest room. She went on to say;

“I was shocked to find out that my husband’s first wife died 1997 and his son two years later. I was devastated that he never told me about this. It’s then that I realized why he had been shielding his past,”
“When I confronted him he got mad and said I had no right snooping into his things. I got scared and even went for a medical examination fearing that he might have some kind of disease.”

“Later, he said that his wife was poisoned by one of the workers and that his son died of suffocation in a car.”
