Summon These Two Leading Chemists! Kuria to Police Over Sonko, Waititu Bhang Confession

Hours after confessing that he was once a convict courtesy of ‘thieving’ and a drug user, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s sentiments on live TV have rubbed other leaders the wrong way.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has now questioned why Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and his Kiambu counterpart Ferdinand Waititu have not been summoned by police following Sonko’s confession that they smoked marijuana together.

Kuria, through his official Face book account also wondered why Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi is yet to speak out on the same.

“24 hours later, neither has Kenneth Marende nor did JB Muturi issue a statement about the confessions by our leading government chemists Governors Sonko and Waititu about what they were doing in that toilet.

“It is the same toilet that is used for Ksh 10,000 bribes as per Hon Gathoni wa Muchomba. IG Joseph Boinett is yet to ask the two governors to record a statement with anti-narcotics unit.

“Or may be Parliamentary immunity includes drugs and murder? What message are we sending? Really!” wrote Kuria.

While on Jeff Koinange Live, Governor Sonko made shocking allegations while responding to a video of Governor Waititu taking a jibe at him over the move to phase out 14-seater matatus.

“Ajue Nairobi ni ya kila mtu. Hiyo maneno ya kuamka asubuhi na kutoa order kwa mali ya watu, wananchi wamekataa…” (He should know Nairobi is everyone’s. This issue of waking up and issuing orders on other people’s property has been rejected by citizens) Waititu said.

In his rejoinder, Governor Sonko implied that Governor Waititu’s utterances were as a result of smoking too much bhang.

“I think he used to smoke a lot of bhang when he was an MP. I’m a witness to this.  We used to go to a certain toilet there. We used to smoke a lot of bhang with this guy.

“In fact, he was hiding bhang in the socks,” claimed Sonko.

“You can’t say that live on air, we don’t have evidence,” interjected Jeff.

“I have evidence, we used to smoke with him. I stopped smoking but he still smokes,” Sonko added.
