Jackie Maribe Allegedly Using Murder Publicity to Run for Murang’a Women Rep Seat

A precedent has been set. Kenyan voters high affinity for controversial men and women would make for an impeccable thesis for Political Science students.

From Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru who was voted overwhelmingly after the blue collar heist at NYS, the pseudo literate Kiambu’s Ferdinand Waititu, Nairobi’s Sonko, UhuRuto while facing humanity crimes in 2013, Babu Owino- the Mugabe of campus politics and drums roll- Jackie Maribe!

Well, the TV damsel accused alongside her hunk beau Jowie Irungu of masterminding the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani is said to be eying the Murang’a Women Rep seat, a claim she has not denied.

Yesterday, she celebrated her birthday and threw a bash at a restaurant in Kilimani where she invited women from her home county of Murang’a. The women declared their unflinching support. Who would expect anything less.

Reached for comment by a local daily, Maribe said: “It is something I would be interested in when the time is right.”

But the psyche of Kenyan voters aside, Maribe’s interest in politics is no news really, She is an astute political journalist whose coverage for Jubilee albeit biased earned her a Head of State Commendation.

So tight is her with leaders in Jubilee that they showed up in Court many times led by Gatundu’s South Moses Kuria, Nairobi Senator Johnstone Sakaja. She also enjoys rapo with Uhunye, Sonko the DP William Ruto (some quarters even whispered that he might be her baby daddy. Until Erick Omondi showed up. )

All the best Jackie. Make your lemonade girl!
