A friend in need is a friend in deed and political interests are known to stir the need to embrace unworthy allies.
This would attempt to explain why DP William Ruto has embraced Governor Okoth Obado despite his woes.
Obado who has shown open disdain for ODM leader Raila Odinga and blamed him for his woes would seem a good protégé for Ruto who is seeking to dismantle Odinga’s political hold of Luo Nyanza ahead of 2022.
Ruto even said publicly he does not give a hoot over what people will say of their alliance- and people have began to talk.
Ruto’s friend, established lawyer Donald Kipkorir is amongst those who have openly told the DP his camaraderie with Obado spells nothing but doom.
Have no problem with politicians of all shades including charlatans joining the bandwagon of my friend, the DP. But my conscience is restless when Migori Governor Okoth Obado becomes one of the Principal Faces .This is a man charged with Double Murder, Rape & Public Theft.
