President Museveni Re-arrests Bobi Wine Minutes after Dropping charges Against Him

The Ugandan government has re-arrested Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine just moments after President Yoweri Museveni dropped charges against him.

The legislator had appeared before the Martial Court to face charges of treason and illegal possession of firearms charges before being transferred to police custody.

According to Sheila Nduhukire, former NTV Uganda anchor, the MP’s lawyer Ssegona informed him of his arrest.

“I’ve been told to inform you that you’re under arrest. But we shall cooperate with them and fight them in the Civil Court like we have done here,” Bobi’s lawyer said.

Bobi appeared before the Gulu general military court-martial.

The court has adjourned for 10 minutes awaiting the ruling.

He remains in a military facility in Kampala.
