‘Dictators and Kleptocrats one Side’- Ruto Blasted for Dining with Museveni and Keeping mum over Bobi Wine’s Detention

Last Saturday, August 18, Deputy President (DP) William Ruto was honored for his exemplary political performance in the just concluded Young Achievers Awards convened in Uganda.

Ironically, in his keynote speech after he was conferred with the award which he termed as a Lifetime Achievement, Ruto slummed the old adage that time for youth leadership was coming ‘tomorrow’.

He insisted that time for the young generation to take up the trans-formative role had come.

However, despite his double speak, Ruto’s loud silence over the unlawful detention of Ugandan politician Bobi Wine who has been arrested and tortured and detained according to media reports did not augur well with Kenyans and Ugandans on social media.
