A Kenyan man, 35 year old, Isaac Misati Aboki of Savage, Minnesota is facing charges of sexual assault after he was caught assaulting a 70 year old woman in a senior care residential home where he worked as a personal care attendant.
It is alleged that Mr. Misati was caught in the act after another employee tried to open the client’s room and noticed that it had been locked from inside using a dresser. After successfully opening the door a few inches wide, the employee saw the resident lying on her back half-naked from the waist down while Mr. Misati was on top. Staff also saw stains on Mr. Misati’s clothes. Mr. Misati claimed that he was changing the client’s diapers and denied claims of sexual assault.
The 70 year old resident has cognitive disability and is immobile, he relies of staff for help with almost everything daily.
Mr. Aboki will be charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. According to Minnesota’s state law, If Mr. Aboki is convicted, he is likely to face imprisonment for not more than 25 years or to a payment of a fine of not more than $35,000, or both in the first instance and imprisonment for not more than 10 years or to a payment of a fine of not more than $20,000, or both.
