‘Arrest My Brother if He Imported Fake Sugar,’ President Uhuru Declares

President Kenyatta is unperturbed and has maintained his hard stance against impunity even when his younger brother Muhoho Kenyatta was dragged into the mess.

Speaking while addressing the American Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit at UN in Gigiri this afternoon, President Kenyatta said his brother should be charged if found guilty for importing contraband sugar.

He reiterated that politicians should stop politicizing the fight against corruption.

“People are out there bundling my brother yesterday… I have no problem. If he is guilty let him be dealt with, what’s the problem?” the President noted.

He continued to state that the country should develop trust in the institutions to protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty.

“We must develop trust in our institutions, that they will protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty.”

President Uhuru’s younger brother’s company, Protech investment Limited was listed among the companies that allegedly imported the contraband sugar.

But Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri however defended him saying that he imported industrial sugar and not brown sugar.
