Wreckage of Aircraft that Went Missing Sported amid Fears of No Survivors

The wreckage of Fly Sax plane that went missing on Tuesday has been located South West of the Aberdares forest near Kinangop.

Transport Principal Secretary Paul Maringa confirmed the same but added that the Government would be issuing a statement.

“The ground search will intensify in the next hour despite poor weather conditions that are posing a challenge. We expect to conclude it in the next one hour,” the PS said

Eight passengers and two crew members were on board when the plane operated by East African Safari Air Express went off the radar on Tuesday at 5pm.

On Wednesday morning, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Assistant Director in charge of Mountain Areas Simon Gitau told the media that a phone signal of one of the occupants had been detected in the Aberdares in Nyandarua County.
