Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has weighed in on the ongoing scandal pitting the Kirinyaga Deputy Governor and an alleged someone’s wife.
In a video circulating on social media, Peter Ndambiri is recorded pleading with men who are seen assaulting him while he and the woman are naked.
‘I always say it is nonsensical to pay anyone so as not to give a story to the media. That breeds extortion and encourages criminal networks to thrive. It is a pity that the Kirinyaga DG did not immediately report such extortionists to the police. If it were me I would simply have paid them off not with money but with the middle finger. These cartels are rampant especially in Kiambu county. I still urge him to report to the police. It is the right thing to do” Kuria wrote in his Facebook page.
The office of the Deputy Governor released a statement saying the Deputy Governor was forced to undress at his hotel room in Kakamega by the thugs who came with the lady.
“We call upon the police to act very fast and arrest the criminals involved and stop them from blackmailing any more VIPs at the ongoing Devolution conference” the statement read.
It went further to state that “we apologize to H.E Peter Ndambiri for this heinous attack on his person and privacy and promise Kenyans we shall get to the bottom of this matter.’
