National Resistance Movement (NRM) ‘general’ Miguna Miguna has left Dubai. This is after being bungled out of the JKIA by Kenyan authorities. According to media reports, the lawyer left the UAE for Toronto aboard an Air Canada 57 (ACA57) plane after spending four days in the country. The plane departed at 12:50am for Canada.
It is reported that he was escorted by UAE police officers and was the first to board the plane after he produced his Canadian passport. However, Miguna’s Lawyer Nelson Havi, denies his client’s deportation from Dubai. According to Mr. Havi, Miguna travelled to Toronto of his own accord and with assistance from the Canadian Consulate in UAE. He further added that Miguna will undergo toxicology tests and treatment for the chemicals used to sedate and poison him.
Earlier, Miguna had claimed that he lost the passport during the three-day standoff that saw National Super Alliance (NASA) co principal Raila Odinga allegedly make frantic calls to State House in a bid to have him allowed into the country.
