Miguna blocked from reaching Raila

Former Nairobi Gubernatorial contestant and National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna was on Sunday blocked from reaching Nasa leader Raila Odinga..

Miguna Miguna was reportedly travelling to the hotel where the former Prime Minister was when he was blocked by more than 30 police officers.

According to a statement by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, the officers who blocked Miguna Miguna’s along the Mombasa-Malindi highway were led by the Mtwapa police boss.

“More than 30 police officers led by the Mtwapa OCPD have stopped Dr Miguna Miguna from traveling on the road to the hotel where PM Raila Odinga is,” read part of the statement from the party on twitter.

The opposition leader was in the coast to launch the first county convention forum for the People’s Assembly.

Miguna Miguna has been a stout critic of Uhuru’s regime and joined hands with the opposition after losing the Nairobi Gubernatorial in the last election to fight for electoral injustices.
