Deputy President met NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula on Friday.
The two joined the bereaved family members, and friends of the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyeze for a funeral service at the Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) in Karen Nairobi County.
The funeral was attended by several other politicians and key figures in the government.
Despite their political difference, Wetangula and Ruto shared a word and even sat close to each other at some point during the service.
Wetangula and other NASA officials have subsequently blasted the government for autocracy and electoral injustices in the country. The opposition led by its leader Mr. Raila Odinga has disregarded President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto’s administration.
A former legislator, Nyenze died on December 6th and his body was moved to Lee Funeral Home. Prior to his death, he won the Kitui West parliamentary seat and he was carried to parliament on August 31 while under oxygen tank for swearing-in. He took oath of office while still sick.
Nyenze was a close ally of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. The 60-year-old father has left behind a widow and three kids, ad will be buried on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
