Domestic violence is a serious problem that affects many people, especially women, across the globe. In Kenya, a distressed lady has taken to social media to cry for help after her ex-husband threatened to kill her and other close family members.
Despite leaving the abusive marriage, the woman continues to be stalked and threatened by her ex-husband. The situation has become so dire that she now fears for her life and has been forced to hide. The woman reported the matter to Diani Police Station, but unfortunately, she has not received any help.
It is disheartening to know that despite efforts to combat domestic violence, many women continue to suffer in silence. In this case, the victim has resorted to social media to raise awareness and seek help. It is commendable that she has taken this brave step, but it is also a sad reflection of how the justice system has failed victims of domestic violence.
